Besides planting trees, how else can people “green” the planet?

Today is March 12th, Arbor Day.

At this time, social media is probably filled with photos of people shoveling soil and planting saplings. This is good; trees are the lungs of the Earth, and every planting is storing oxygen for the future. But in the concrete jungle of the city, besides planting a tree ourselves, there's another way to participate in this green relay.

This way is hidden in the materials used in our industry.

Many people, upon hearing "fly ash," might immediately think of waste and a burden. Indeed, if left to accumulate, it not only occupies land but may also deprive the surrounding soil of life. But in our eyes, it's more like a resource misplaced. When we use technology to reintegrate it into the building materials cycle, every ton of fly ash utilized means saving an inch of land. That saved inch of land might one day grow a blade of grass or bloom a flower. Reducing the burden on the land is essentially making room for greenery.

In the field of building energy conservation, cenospheres and perlite play the role of "invisible guardians."

You may not see them, but they are embedded in the walls and insulation layers of buildings. Cenospheres are microspheres carefully selected from fly ash, while perlite is a mineral gifted by volcanoes. Their common characteristics are lightness and insulation. Imagine giving a building a suitable "insulating coat," blocking heat waves in summer and locking in warmth in winter. This is not just for comfort, but also for energy conservation. Reduced building energy consumption means less coal burned by power plants, resulting in less carbon dioxide emissions.

If planting trees increases carbon sequestration, then using energy-efficient building materials reduces carbon emissions at the source.

We often say we are in the materials business, but on a larger scale, we are actually implanting green genes into buildings. We may not plant every tree ourselves, but every ton of our products makes the city more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.

On this special day, we want to express not a sales pitch, but a consensus: environmental protection knows no bounds, and green living knows no form.

May the wilderness be filled with forests, and may cities be adorned with green buildings.

Happy Arbor Day to everyone!

May the hopes we plant together grow into towering trees in the future.
