Andersen’s SALT Practice Welcomes Edvin Givargis

Andersen welcomes Edvin Givargis as a Managing Director in the State & Local Tax (SALT) practice in Orange County. Edvin has over 20 years of experience managing state and local jurisdictional tax matters. His areas of expertise include developing and advising on efficient tax structures and operations within a complex state framework across various state tax types (e.g., net income, franchise, gross receipts, sales, excise, payroll, conveyance, and property taxes).

“Edvin brings a wealth of state and local tax experience to our firm and will provide comprehensive solutions to our clients,” said Chad Thiel, Orange County Office Managing Director. “His technical expertise operating in industries such as manufacturing, retail, construction, transportation, legal, real estate, asset management, and biotech will complement and enrich the practice.”

Edvin received a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, and a Master of Science in Taxation from California State University, Fullerton.

Prior to joining Andersen, Edvin worked at public accounting firms ranging from regional to the Big 4. He serves his alma mater as an adjunct professor in the Master of Science in Taxation program, teaching courses in federal tax research and state and local taxation.
