Ballymore Safety Products Acquires DOC Services

Creating a full-scale products, service, and safety solutions provider with a truly nationwide footprint

Ballymore Safety Products (“Ballymore”), a portfolio company of One Equity Partners (“OEP”) and leading designer and manufacturer of vertical access equipment (e.g. rolling ladders and aerial work platforms), material handling, and custom designed safety products, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of a majority ownership stake in DOC Services (“DOC”), a nationwide provider of asset maintenance services for material handling, electromechanical and commercial HVAC machinery. As part of the transaction, the shareholders of DOC will maintain a significant ownership stake and an ongoing role in the combined entity.

Headquartered in Fort Mill, South Carolina, with over 450 employees and operations in 50 states, DOC provides asset maintenance solutions for a broad portfolio of blue-chip customers. DOC’s services include repair, maintenance, system integrations, 24/7 call center, inventory and parts management, data reporting and analytics for customers in the retail, industrial, commercial, healthcare, government, and other sectors. The combined entity will have over 700 employees, six manufacturing facilities, over 300 service technicians, and a broad offering of products and services to national retail, distribution, warehouse automation integrators and manufacturing companies.

Today, DOC acts as a key service partner for Ballymore, ensuring ongoing support of Ballymore equipment in the field. The transaction enhances the combined entity’s ability to provide industry leading products and services throughout the product life cycle.

Financial terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.
