Global program to protect and beautify local communities celebrates 10 years of impact

PPG (NYSE: PPG) today announced that it will extend its global COLORFUL COMMUNITIES® program for an additional 10 years to celebrate a decade of beautifying and revitalizing communities. As part of this commitment, PPG will commit $15 million to celebrate the next decade of beautifying and revitalizing communities.

The 10-year milestone will be marked by a year of celebrations that will feature 10 flagship Colorful Communities projects around the world throughout 2025. To build on the positive impacts of the program, PPG and the PPG Foundation will also distribute $1 million in celebration grants to 100 previous and current Colorful Communities partners.

Since the program’s inception in 2015, it has:

• Impacted more than 10.2 million people through nearly 600 projects in more than 50 countries with over $15 million invested in Colorful Communities projects to date;
• Used nearly 65,000 gallons of paint (246,000+ liters) to create spaces where community members are inspired;
• Empowered more than 30,000 volunteers to spend nearly 200,000 hours revitalizing important spaces;
• Teamed up with nearly 40 PPG customers and 2,300+ volunteers from their organizations to expand the impact of the program; and
• Transformed 280 schools and educational spaces, nearly 130 hospitals and healthcare spaces, 65 community centers and nine museums and science centers.

The Colorful Communities program, PPG’s signature initiative for supporting communities, aims to protect and beautify the neighborhoods where PPG operates around the world. Through the program, PPG’s committed volunteers contribute their time and PPG paint products to help transform community assets – from painting classrooms to bringing color to a maternity ward and redesigning a playground. Since 2015, PPG has completed nearly 600 Colorful Communities projects, impacting more than 10.2 million people in over 50 countries.
