The assessment also involves reviewing energy-saving opportunities and preparing customized documents explaining the benefits and incentives available to homeowners to make recommended energy-efficiency home improvements.
One key benefit of the no-cost Home Energy Assessment is the comprehensive health and safety evaluation. This includes testing the heating system, hot water system, and combustion appliances and identifying any potential health and safety concerns. Additionally, the insulation evaluation targets key areas such as the basement, exterior walls, and attic to eliminate drafts and ensure proper ventilation. This thorough assessment helps homeowners understand their energy consumption and identify opportunities for cost-effective upgrades.
Mass Save® covers the cost of the no-cost Home Energy Assessment, making it accessible to all homeowners. Mass Save® also offers 0% financing through the HEAT Loan for energy-efficient home improvements, requiring installation by a participating contractor like Revise, Inc. This financing option allows homeowners to make significant energy-saving upgrades without the burden of upfront investments.
