About the Author
Ryal McMurry, a lifelong fan of Hayley Mills, is an educator with a background in both entertainment and early childhood education. A former Disneyland cast member and actor in film and television, Ryal has spent the past eighteen years teaching and leading in elementary education. He has taught preschool through second grade, worked as a reading instructional specialist, and served as principal at two elementary schools.
Passionate about literacy, Ryal is also a proud member of the Otero County, New Mexico, affiliate of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. In the last 13 years, the local chapter has distributed more than 230,000 books to children over the past thirteen years.
Ryal lives in New Mexico with his wife, Alicia, and their four children: Kayla, Reyna, Alayna, and Lorenzo.
