PLANO, Texas - Feb. 7, 2022 - PRLog -- Viscosity North America, Inc. ("Viscosity") announces its continued and growing presence in the Oracle ACE community as they welcome two more members from the Oracle ACE Program, Craig Shallahamer and Julio Ayapan.

Craig Shallahamer, an Oracle ACE Director since 2010, is a long-time Oracle DBA specializing in predictive analytics, machine learning, and Oracle performance tuning. Craig is a researcher, blogger, consultant, author of two books, an enthusiastic conference speaker, and a passionate teacher. He frequently presents at industry events at the local, national, and international levels. These events have included Oracle OpenWorld, COLLABORATE, Rocky Mountain Oracle User Group, East Coast Oracle User Group, Germany Oracle User Group, UK Oracle User Group, Australia Oracle User Group, and the Guatemala Oracle User Group. He has been awarded the 2014 IOUG's Chris Wooldridge Award for outstanding service to the user group community and the 1995 Oracle Consulting's "Hard Hat" award for stellar performance in "hostile" accounts and database performance situations. Julio Ayapan, an Oracle ACE Associate since 2017, started as a DBA in 2012 and is an expert in many areas of database administration, analytics, and operating systems, specializing in high-performance tuning, high availability, replication, backup and recovery, and recently in cloud technologies. His certifications include Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect, Microsoft Azure Certified Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Professional 11g, Oracle Certified Professional 12c, and an Oracle Certified Expert for Data Guard, RAC, and Grid Infrastructure Administration. Julio has been a member of the Oracle User Group in Guatemala since 2014, assisting in organizing Oracle conferences in the region. He actively participates in Oracle-related forums such as OTN Latin-America and maintains a Personal Technology blog on http://oraclehomegt.blogspot.com. Viscosity is excited to have Julio open the door for more DBA roles from Guatemala.
