Rediscovering Dusty Memories
It all began with a discovery in the attic: The songwriter's daughter found a box filled with dusty notebooks — inside, long-lost lyrics, some written more than twenty years ago.
"I suddenly held all those stories in my hands again – and the memories of the moments I wrote them came flooding back," the lyricist recalls.
"Driving from St. Louis to Nashville, I used to pull over just to jot down another line. Back then, nobody wanted to sing or publish my songs – I wasn't a professional songwriter."
Tradition Meets Technology
My children suggested bringing the old lyrics to life with the help of AI. Using the AI tool Suno, we experimented with sound, arrangement, and vocals — and the songs finally found their musical voice.
"The AI was like a sonic paintbrush that colored in my old sketches," he says. "Hearing my lyrics come alive the way I had once imagined them was simply fascinating."
The Album Open Range
"Open Range" is available since November 3, 2025, across all major streaming platforms. The eight tracks tell stories of memories, daily life, simple dreams and experiences — blending classic country roots with a modern touch.
An Open Land for Creativity
"Open Range" symbolizes the wide, unexplored open land between tradition and technology. "Music and AI today are like an open landscape," says the artist. "No one knows exactly where the road leads — and that's what makes it exciting."
