Digital outsourcing company TaskUs (NASDAQ: TASK) will be reporting earnings this Wednesday afternoon. Here’s what you need to know.

TaskUs beat analysts’ revenue expectations last quarter, reporting revenues of $298.7 million, up 17% year on year. It was a satisfactory quarter for the company, with a beat of analysts’ EPS estimates but revenue guidance for next quarter slightly missing analysts’ expectations.

Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings. TaskUs has a history of exceeding Wall Street’s expectations.

Looking at TaskUs’s peers in the business process outsourcing & consulting segment, some have already reported their Q4 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. Exponent delivered year-on-year revenue growth of 4.5%, beating analysts’ expectations by 1%, and Genpact reported revenues up 5.6%, topping estimates by 0.8%. Exponent traded up 12.7% following the results while Genpact was also up 7.1%.

The euphoria surrounding Trump’s November win lit a fire under major indices, but potential tariffs have caused the market to do a 180 in 2025. While some of the business process outsourcing & consulting stocks have shown solid performance in this choppy environment, the group has generally underperformed, with share prices down 8.9% on average over the last month. TaskUs is down 8.5% during the same time and is heading into earnings with an average analyst price target of $15.75 (compared to the current share price of $10.31).

When a company has more cash than it knows what to do with, buying back its own shares can make a lot of sense–as long as the price is right.
