Phoenix, Arizona - September 29, 2018 /MarketersMedia/

Zanes Law Group, PLLC proudly announces they are sponsoring the University of Arizona's Center for Leadership Ethics 2018 Executive Ethics Symposium on September 26, 2018. This event will include a panel discussion about the ethical implications of artificial intelligence and the symposium is only one of the many ways the Zanes Law immigration lawyers support the center. The symposium will explore Artificial Intelligence (AI) and learn more about the benefits and burdens associated with its emergence. Furthermore, the ethical implications arising from the use of AI in society will be discussed.

"We have gathered a panel of experts to cover this topic in depth. This includes individuals from business, the military, and academia. The center hosts this symposium every two years and we are proud to be a part of it this year, as AI is changing the world in ways many people cannot imagine," Doug Zanes, spokesperson for Zanes Law Group, PLLC, explains.

Artificial intelligence involves the use of intelligent software and/or hardware to mimic behaviors commonly associated with humans, including problem-solving and learning. While people have discussed AI for numerous years, the field is rapidly advancing. In fact, it has become so commonplace that it is now a part of everyday life. Self-driving vehicles are only one example of this type of technology, and there are many more.

"People often wonder about the implications of integrating this technology. A good example of this involves self-driving cars. Accidents have been reported involving these vehicles, and engineers continue to work to determine where the error lies and whether the vehicle's AI failed in some way. The fatal accident in Tempe, Arizona earlier this year is one that is frequently discussed in our Phoenix offices as this may have a major impact on future cases involving not only self-driving cars but all areas of AI," Zanes continues.

AI is being used in numerous other areas also. The technology is now being used in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, and the military makes use of artificial intelligence in planning tools and training simulators, among other things. As it has been incorporated into so many industries, individuals need to understand the positive and negative impacts of its use.

"People often question the ethics of using artificial intelligence in various endeavors. The symposium is designed to address many of these questions and concerns and will give participants much to think about when they leave. Learn more today by visiting the site. AI will influence your life in the near future if it hasn't already, and you need to be aware of the benefits and drawbacks associated with its use," Zanes states.
