The Mighty Clouds Of Joy Album Peaks At Number 1 iTunes Christian Charts

Recently released album from The Mighty Clouds Of Joy, Take Me To The Water makes it on the iTunes Charts

TORONTO - Aug. 7, 2021 - PRLog -- Sonorous Records Inc. recent album release by The Mighty Clouds of Joy peaks at #1 on the Christian iTunes Charts and #3 All Catagories iTunes Charts in South Africa.  The album is titled Take Me To The Water and after first day of its release it made the charts.  The eight track album has been digitally enhanced from original recordings.  All efforts have been made to maintain the original quality of the music.  "We are very excited about having the album achieve such a favourable reception"  stated Ivan Cavric Sonorous Records label manager.  The Mighty Clouds of Joy can also be found on display in the famous Apollo Theater.

The Mighty Clouds of Joy was formed in 1959 in Los Angeles, Ca.  as a traditional based style  group.  It wasn't until 1961 as the group became famous, they added bass, drums and keyboards tot he standard guitar back and developed a funky sound that split the difference between rhythm and blues and gospel.  The group has received numerous Grammy nominations and becoming the most influential gospel group.
