The First Blue Ribbon City and Business Share Their Stories to Illuminate What Youth Leadership Could, and Should, Look Like Across the World.

SAN DIEGO - Aug. 10, 2021 - PRLog -- Hannah Katz, recent graduate of Sage Creek High School, has brought her senior genius project to fruition by bringing the Carlsbad businesses and community leaders together for the first "Blue Ribbon City" launch on Wednesday, August 18th, 2021, in the downtown Carlsbad Village Faire, from 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm, located at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, Suite #104, Carlsbad, CA  92008..

This event is open to the public as this youth leader sets out to honor 50,000 individuals in the City of Carlsbad. The Red Carpet for this event starts at 2:30 pm with local celebrities and dignitaries, as well as entertainment during the event.

Hannah has teamed up with Grandma Sparky, founder of Blue Ribbons Worldwide and known as the First Lady of Acknowledgement. Since 1983 the Blue Ribbon ceremony has touched almost 40 million people. This simple ceremony is eradicating suicide and bullying, creating dignity and respect among all people with "Who I Am Makes A Difference" ceremonial ribbons.

Matt Hall has been the Mayor of Carlsbad since 2010. His dedication to creating a community for all to enjoy is his top priority. As a husband, father and grand-father, he recognizes the importance of investing in our youth, this is a critical component to the future of Carlsbad. "We must build a trust-based community where we learn to help youth leaders deepen their understanding of key challenges facing our planet and humanity.  The Blue Ribbon organization empowers young people to dream big, make an impact, and change the world."

A proclamation announcing Blue Ribbon Week from November 7 - 14, 2021 will be presented . There will also be a dedication to GelatoLove owner Paola Richards for being the first Blue Ribbon business. She will be offering a sampling of the new Blue Ribbon gelato flavor which will be available for purchase in her stores during Blue Ribbon week.  A percentage of the proceeds goes to the Blue Ribbon organization. There is something special about GelatoLove that brings us together. Paola has taken an age old recipe from the 16th century and transformed it into a low calorie desert that we all love. The Blue Ribbon acknowledgement ceremony will be enacted at this event which gives people pride, purpose, and the ability to end negativity and transform the world.
