Actuated Medical Adds Niall Sweeney as COO to Leadership Team

BELLEFONTE, Pa. - Sept. 7, 2021 - PRLog -- Actuated Medical, Inc. recently announced that Niall Sweeney, BE, MBA joined their team as Chief Operations Officer.  Niall is an experienced medical device executive that has developed and commercialized products at Becton Dickinson, Stryker, and Quest Diagnostics.

"Niall brings a wealth of MedTech expertise to Actuated Medical. His focus will expedite the commercialization of our innovative technologies, so they reach patients and improve outcomes more quickly.  His efforts will move Actuated Up and Onward," said Maureen L. Niall spearheaded the development of Becton Dickinson's safety needles creating a $200 million business.  He doubled the size of Stryker Spine's US development group that launched 9 implant systems within 3 years which generated $57MM incremental revenue.  Niall has engaged with start-ups both as a management member and as an angel investor. He is familiar with fundraising, negotiating terms, and advising successful exits.

At Actuated Medical, Niall's focus will be on accelerating the commercialization of Actuated's device technologies and monetizing their value.  This includes determining ways to de-risk technologies and working with potential investors, licensees, or partners to develop deals to support full commercialization.
