Dr. Allen Steven Lycka to Host Syndicated Radio Show Miracle on the Hudson, Commemorating 13th Anniversary of Flight 1549, Saturday, January 15

EDMONTON, Alberta - Jan. 13, 2022 - PRLog -- In recognition of the 13th anniversary of the renowned emergency landing of US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River that preserved the lives of all 155 people onboard, Dr. Allen Steven Lycka is hosting a radio broadcast, Miracle on the Hudson, this Saturday, January 15, at 2:00 EST. Guests will include flight 1549 passengers, as well as others directly and indirectly involved with the event.

Flight 1549 was scheduled to fly from New York's LaGuardia Airport to Charlotte on January 15, 2009.  Shortly after take-off, the plane struck a flock of birds and subsequently lost power in both engines, forcing an emergency landing. All 155 passengers survived due to the heroic efforts of Pilots Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger and Jeffrey Skiles, and the crew members who safely ushered passengers to safety.

Lycka's guest panel will include:

David Sanderson: The very last passenger to deplane, Sanderson is a sought-after speaker who shares the inspiring message with audiences that they, like him, can turn turmoil into triumph.

Vallie Collins: A passenger on Flight 1549, she is now a motivational speaker who shares her riveting account of her near-death experience aboard the US Airways Airbus.

Stephen Mallon: A photographer and filmmaker, he brought the nation a close, stunning look at the immediate aftermath as the only photographer granted exclusive access to the recovery operation.

Ben Bostic: A software developer, Bostic is another Flight 1549 survivor whose recollections show he knows full well there could have been a much different and devastating outcome.

Paula Paul: A close friend of Ben Bostic, she gives insight on how the Flight 1549 has changed him and affected his subsequent points of view in positive ways.
