Jasmine Daboul is bringing a whole new flavor this Valentine's Day with her song "Candy"

Los Angeles based contemporary artist, Jasmine Daboul, is giving a new taste with her bittersweet song this Valentine's Day with latest release "Candy"

LOS ANGELES - Feb. 14, 2022 - PRLog -- Arab-Latinx singer has brought it again with her Latest Single "Candy." Her first Single "I  Didn't Know" was a song about heartbreak and trying to find ourselves. With "Candy," Jasmine Daboul  tells us to take charge and to stand up to those who bring us down.

What is also special about this song is that it was written, recorded, and produced by Jasmine.

"Candy was a big deal for me because it was the first ever song that I composed and produced myself. I still have a producer to help me mix and master but it has taken me three years to get to this point. It is the first time I truly felt that I had a voice."

The great thing is that Candy is so versatile. The inspiration came from an experience Jasmine went through when she was bullied in school but it is also open for interpretation and anyone can relate to the feelings she put in the song.

There is also a documentary about Candy that will be on video streaming platforms such as youtube where she discusses in detail what the word Candy means to her.

"Bullying comes in many forms and no one should ever have to go through that. Candy is something we associate with sweet and pretty. Everyone has their own special Candy and we should protect it"

If you have not heard it yet, Jasmine released a second single called "Home" which discusses protecting our home and nature and what we can do to protect it. It is also available on all streaming platforms.

Jasmine Daboul is a Los Angeles based singer, actress and music teacher. She has a bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from California State University Northridge.

Her recent opera roles performed at the Santa Monica Broad Stage were Gherardina in Puccini's (Gianni Schicchi) and Papagena in Mozart's (The Magic Flute). In the summer of 2017, she performed Mozart's (Requiem) with the Pacific Master Chorale at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
