A disposable diaper consists of an absorbent pad and two sheets of non-woven fabric. Non-woven top-sheet&back-sheet, absorbent pad, and other components.

A disposable diaper consists of an absorbent pad and two sheets of non-woven fabric.

Non-woven top-sheet & back-sheet

The most important of these 2 sheets is to improve the diaper breathability, which allows the moisture and heat emitted from the body to be discharged in time, so as not to irritate baby’s delicate skin. With good breathability, the risk of diaper rash and eczema can be greatly reduced.

Another factor you need to take into consideration is the rewet rate. The cloth cannot prevent two-way conduction of urine, which means that when a certain amount is reached, the urine will permeate from the surface of cloth. This is rewet. As we all know, moist skin is very fragile and can be easily affected by bacteria. Therefore, it’s crucial we keep the baby’s bottom area clean and dry at all times. At present, most disposable diapers use non-woven sheet with semi-permeable membrane properties, which prevent urine rewet the diaper surface and ensure air circulate in baby’s bottom area at the same time.

Absorbent pad

The single most important property of a diaper, cloth or disposable, is its ability to absorb and retain moisture. Today's state-of-the-art disposable diaper will absorb 15 times its weight in water. This phenomenal absorption capacity is due to the absorbent pad found in the core of the diaper. The current high-quality diapers are mainly composed of wood pulp and polymer materials.

The wood pulp fiber structure has a large number of irregular voids. These natural voids have been processed to have super hydrophilic properties and can hold a large amount of water. Polymer water-absorbing resin is a new type of functional polymer material. It has excellent water retention performance. Once it absorbs water and swell into a hydrogel, it is difficult to separate the water even if it is pressurized. However, adding too much polymer will make the diaper harden after absorbing urine, which makes the baby very uncomfortable. A good quality of absorbent pad consists of just right ratio of wood pulp and polymer materials.

Other components

There are a variety of other ancillary components, such as elastic threads, hot melt adhesives, strips of tape or other closures, and inks used for printing decorations.

In Besuper premium diaper design, we put many other elements to make sure a safe + breathable + leakage-proof + super absorbent + comfortable experience for babies.

If you are ready for diaper business, especially finding diaper factory to manufacture your brand, don’t forget to ask for samples and check diapers’ breath ability, absorbency and raw materials.
