The mattress differs greatly from all other types of futon mattresses which are just compressed synthetic fabrics with cotton skin. The Sherpa fleece mattresses go above and beyond traditional design with an extra layer of quilting thanks to the soft microfibers. It boasts a design of five layers with high-density foam support sandwiched by polyester backings for added stability when folding. The special ultra-soft fluffy covering on top is polyester lined and comprises three layers - a whole piece of polyester, a high-density base support foam, and then another piece of polyester.
The fleece futon mattress can be flipped onto a smoother side which is quilted for summer months or used on the fleece side for those cold winter nights. The 2-in-1 design allows for a cooling side and a warming side, so it can be used year-round to suit the climate.
The futon mattress comes in five different colors: grey, dark grey, black, beige, or turquoise.
