The Dr. Francene Gayle Scholarship for Healthcare Students provides education funding for students studying en route to becoming healthcare professionals. The scholarship is available for university and college students undertaking a medical course for the sake of becoming healthcare professionals in the future. The scholarship is also available for high school students who will attend a college or university to pursue a healthcare, science, or medical course. The scholarship provides funding of $1000 which will be awarded to one lucky student based on an essay competition. The most outstanding student must participate in the creative essay writing contest from which the best student will be chosen. All interested students are requested to submit their applications no later than June 15, 2023. Along with the essay, interested students are requested to provide their full names, their phone numbers, email addresses, address, name of high school and graduation date, name of university currently enrolled in, personal bio, and GPA. The most outstanding student will be announced on July 15, 2023.

Through her scholarship, she is hoping to ease the financial burden of a star student. She is also positive that her scholarship will raise awareness of the struggles that many students go through on the road to becoming healthcare professional. She further hopes that the scholarship will open more opportunities for students to find the help they deserve.

She studied and graduated from Howard University College of Medicine in the year 2002. She understands that education is the foundation for a successful.
