Top tokens and blockchains that can replace centralized payment processors

By: Invezz

Credit cards typically settle around 5,000 transactions per second (TPS). What this means is that blockchain networks need to exceed this amount in order to scale globally and be able to replace centralized payment processors.

Cosmos Hub can reach 10,000 transactions per second (TPS) with an average confirmation time of around 2 to 3 seconds.

Fantom, through the usage of its consensus mechanism known as Lachesis, can achieve up to 20,000 transactions per second (TPS).
