Partnership with UNAM's Faculty of Architecture

Roseville, California May 19, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - COBEAL, INC. Launches Internship Program in Partnership with UNAM's Faculty of Architecture

Mexico City, May 13, 2023 - Cobeal, Inc. a leading engineering, manufacturing, and construction firm, is excited to announce the launch of its internship program in partnership with the Faculty of Architecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). This program aims to provide valuable professional experience to students and bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world architectural practice.

The internship program, labeled PPS-023-2, offers students from the last two semesters of the Architecture program at UNAM the opportunity to engage in a practical professional experience within Cobeal's dynamic work environment. With more than twenty available positions, selected interns will have the chance to contribute to the construction documentation of the National School of Civil Protection (ENAPROC) and gain hands-on experience in the field.

"We are delighted to collaborate with UNAM's Faculty of Architecture on this internship program," said Sophy M. Laughing, Ph.D., MBA, CEO at Cobeal. "This partnership allows us to support the next generation of architects by providing them with practical knowledge, exposure to industry-standard tools, and the chance to work on a significant project like the ENAPROC construction."

During the internship, under the leadership of Cobeal CTO, Bo Erik Gustav Hollsten, participants will be involved in various activities, including gathering information from suppliers, subcontractors, and government authorities, as well as translating documents into English. They will also participate in the organization and registration of physical and digital folders containing essential construction data. The focus will be on collecting documentation related to presentations, workshop plans, product data, and samples, among other aspects crucial to the construction process.

The program offers several academic benefits for participating students. Interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of construction project management, including strategic planning, resource management, and documentation of activities and materials used. Additionally, they will develop valuable skills in communication, language proficiency, and software applications such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and potentially BIM and Revit tools.

Selected interns will receive a remuneration of $4,500.00 for every 80 hours worked. The internship will take place from Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at Cobeal's office located in Pedregal de Santo Domingo, Coyoacán.

To apply for the internship program, eligible students must be in their last two semesters of the Architecture program, possess fluent oral and written English skills, and demonstrate advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Familiarity with BIM and Revit tools is desirable but not mandatory.

Interested students should send an email to fa_pps@hotmail.com, including the following information: program name, full name, student ID number, semester, workshop, and contact telephone number. Upon receiving the email, the program coordinators will provide further details for scheduling an interview at the Cobeal office.

Cobeal's internship program represents a significant step in fostering collaboration between the academic and professional realms of architecture. By providing practical experience, mentorship, and exposure to real-world projects, Cobeal and UNAM's Faculty of Architecture aim to contribute to the growth and development of future architects.
