Veronica Sain, the owner of The Hickory Hut – Selmer, located in Selmer Tennessee……. originally started out with the idea of selling plate lunches from a food stand.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Sept. 15, 2023 - PRLog -- However, this concept only attracted local business, without a large customer base. In August 2023, Veronica focused her attention on desserts, specifically fudge. With the plate lunches, the food had to be replenished every couple of days……. resulting in high food costs and waste.

Veronica wanted to continue in the food business. But wanted to focus on a food item that has a longer shelf life and could also be mailable. Fudge candy fit the bill. Once a good recipe was found, Veronica began making fudge in her home kitchen. With the one recipe, she was able to duplicate it in many different flavors.
