About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

SEBASTIEN RYAN MAKES HIS MUSICAL DEBUT WITH "VIDA MIA" EP AND MARIO LOPEZ INTERVIEW

12-Year-Old Miami Talent Brings Latin Pop Flavor and Heartfelt Stories to His First EP Available Now

MIAMI, FL, July 29, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- At just 12 years old, rising artist Sebastien Ryan is making waves with his debut EP Vida Mia and an upcoming interview with Mario Lopez on iHeartRadio. With a heart full of rhythm and a message of joy, Sebastien is setting the tone for a promising music career—one fueled by passion, creativity, and big dreams.

Vida Mia, released July 21 via NI Music Group, showcases Sebastien's vibrant energy and emotional depth. The Latin pop-inspired EP was co-written with producers Eric Johnson and Danny Jay, who worked closely with Sebastien to shape a sound that reflects his world. Songs like "Magic," "Mama and Me," and the upbeat single "Baila Baila" offer everything from family pride to dancefloor joy.

"I wanted to create something real—something that represents who I am, where I've been, and what I want people to feel when they hear it," Sebastien says.

Sebastien has been singing since the age of 7, inspired by artists like Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, and Lady Gaga. Music, he says, helps him feel happy, relaxed, and empowered. Whether writing at his desk in sunny Miami or practicing karate to stay focused and disciplined, Sebastien brings heart and determination to everything he does.

His debut interview with Mario Lopez, arranged through a mutual friend, marks the next exciting milestone. "It means a lot to have people in my corner who believe in the music," he shares. "This is just the beginning."

Sebastien also hopes his music carries a deeper message. "In 'Mama and Me,' I sing about family and respecting your parents," he explains. "I want my songs to make people feel good, to dance, and to know they're not alone."

His advice to other kids with big dreams? "Never stop dreaming. With love, support, and passion for your craft, you can live the life of your dreams."

With the strong creative team of NI Music Group behind him and a natural gift for connecting through music, Sebastien Ryan is just getting started—and the world is listening.

More about Sebastien Ryan

Sebastien Ryan's early achievements are a shining example of hope, resilience, and the power of following your passion. He began acting at just seven years old and has loved performing — especially singing and making people laugh — for as long as he can remember. With dreams of lighting up stages and magazine covers alike, Sebastien also hopes to model for children's clothing brands or appear in fashion spreads.

From an early age, Sebastien's vibrant personality and love for music and the arts stood out. He started talking early and was always full of energy. During swimming classes as a young child, his mother noticed some subtle developmental delays and sought medical guidance. Doctors diagnosed Sebastien with hypotonia — a condition involving low muscle tone and reduced muscle strength. At four years old, he began physical and occupational therapy to help strengthen his muscles and build coordination.

Though the journey hasn't always been easy, Sebastien's passion, positivity, and perseverance have helped him overcome every challenge in his path. Today, he's a healthy, confident young performer ready to inspire others — and take the entertainment world by storm.
