DCH Health Selects HealthTrust for Supply Chain Resiliency and Group Purchasing Services

DCH Health System, a not-for-profit health system headquartered in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, has signed an agreement with HealthTrust Performance GroupSM for group purchasing services. Effective February 1, 2023, DCH will utilize HealthTrust’s group purchasing program to purchase products, equipment and services used by its hospitals and affiliated locations. DCH Health System operates a regional medical center – DCH Regional Medical Center, a community hospital – Northport Medical Center, a rural acute care hospital – Fayette Medical Center, along with a number of non-acute healthcare settings in West Alabama.

“We are pleased to welcome DCH Health System to the HealthTrust membership,” said Ed Jones, HealthTrust president and chief executive officer. “I’m confident that through our work together, we’ll be able to deliver greater value, positioning DCH to continue providing excellent service to patients and their families in West Alabama.”

As a member of HealthTrust, DCH joins an extensive network of leading hospitals and health systems. HealthTrust will serve as DCH’s exclusive group purchasing organization (GPO), giving its providers access to a broad portfolio of supplies and services and a fast track to savings from HealthTrust’s one-price-for-all contracting approach.
