About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

The Druva Data Resiliency Cloud Named Storage Product of the Year and a G2 2022 Best Software Award Winner

Druva Inc. today announced that it has once again been recognized as one of the industry’s most outstanding platforms for cyber, data, and operational resilience. The Druva Data Resiliency Cloud was named the 2021 Storage Product of the Year in the Backup and Disaster Recovery Hardware, Software, and Services category by TechTarget’s Storage magazine and SearchStorage. Additionally, Druva was named one of the best software companies for IT management in G2’s 2022 Best Software Awards list, which ranks products solely based on independent user reviews.

“As businesses navigate today’s challenging IT landscape, and infrastructure becomes increasingly complex, a SaaS-based approach to data resiliency offers simplicity, security, scalability, and strong savings,” said Ash Parikh, CMO, Druva. “Our pioneering and innovative solution, built completely in the cloud to ensure air-gapped protection and 100 percent availability, ensures businesses can remain resilient and recover their data, no matter the circumstance. As the only at-scale data resiliency cloud, these achievements are further validation of our powerful capabilities and the value our customers are able to achieve every day with Druva.”

TechTarget’s Storage magazine and SearchStorage 2021 Products of the Year

The SearchStorage Products of the Year awards were judged by a panel of industry experts, leading analysts, and editors at Storage magazine and SearchStorage. According to SearchStorage, winners in the Backup and Disaster Recovery Hardware, Software and Services category address some of the most prominent needs among data protection professionals today, including air-gapped ransomware protection, replication across different backup media, and features such as anomaly detection and hybrid workloads.

As this year’s Gold winner, the Druva Data Resiliency Cloud received top marks for its simplified interface, multi-layered ransomware protection, and ability to scale with changing needs. One judge highlighted that Druva “delivers cloud-like simplicity from a cloud-delivered service," and also cited the flexibility of the Druva Data Resiliency Cloud’s pricing as another major benefit for customers. Another judge noted, “Druva just works.”

G2’s 2022 Best Software Awards for IT Management

The Top 100 software sellers are ranked based on a combination of satisfaction and market presence scores for each seller, and the top 100 products are ranked based on reviews across their individual categories. To be included in one of G2’s Software Sellers or Software Products “Best Of” lists, a software seller or product must receive at least 50 approved and published reviews during the 2021 calendar year.
