University of Phoenix Leaders Participate in 107th AACRAO Annual Meeting

Administrative leaders will be presenting at event focused advancing knowledge of professionals engaged in enrollment and academic services

Leaders with University of Phoenix will join the proceedings of the 107th American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) Annual Conference, taking place April 3 - 6, 2022, in Portland, OR.

The event is intended for the higher education professionals from a variety of disciplines, and offers hundreds of presentations, workshops, and panels featuring presenters from across the country. AACRAO is a non-profit, voluntary, professional association of more than 11,000 higher education professionals representing approximately 2,600 institutions in more than 40 countries. Its commitment to the professional development of its members includes best practice guidance on admissions strategies to meet institutional diversity objectives, delivery of academic programs in innovative ways to meet the needs of a changing student body, and exemplary approaches to student retention and completion.

Key individuals from the University of Phoenix Academic Operations will participant in the Annual Meeting proceedings, including the following:

  • Marc Booker, Ph.D., vice provost of Strategy at University of Phoenix, will lead the session “Transfer Articulation 101,” providing a basic overview of transfer and articulation requirements and delving into a broad discussion on relevant trending issues facing institutions today. Booker will review topics including general guidelines and principles for transfer, building effective articulation partnerships, and handling credit for prior learning. Booker will also be co-leading the State & Regional Officers Workshop “Fostering Tomorrow’s Leaders by Ensuring Equity Today: Learn with PACRAO’s Cohort Development Model” where he will share best practices on curriculum design for leadership development programs as he serves as a faculty member for the Leadership Development Institute of the Pacific Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (PACRAO).
  • Monterey Sims, director, Admissions and Evaluation, will lead the session, “Electronic Data Life-Cycle from Application to Enrollment – Case Studies” and host a roundtable, “Discussion for Improving Business Continuity Sending and/or Receiving Electronic Transcripts” with her peers from the AACRAO Standardization of Post-Secondary Electronic Education Data Exchange (SPEEDE) Committee.
  • Jonathan Graff, MBA, associate registrar, will participate in sessions on trending topics in higher education, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and compliance.
  • Audra McQuarie, vice president, registrar, will participate in sessions on trending topics in higher education, FERPA, compliance, and emerging issues in access & equity.
