About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Respected leaders bring deep industry expertise and diverse perspectives to further enable company’s substantial growth

Imperative Care, Inc. today announced the appointment of Henrietta Fore and Stacy Enxing Seng to the company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately.

“The addition of Henrietta and Stacy to Imperative Care’s Board of Directors will prove invaluable as they bring varied backgrounds and areas of expertise both within and outside of the medical device industry,” said Fred Khosravi, CEO and Chairman of Imperative Care. “We have worked very deliberately in our efforts to attract extraordinary people to Imperative Care’s Board, as the right balance of knowledge, experience, and thoughtful governance is absolutely critical to achieving our mission of transforming medical innovation and bringing better care to more patients.”

As an accomplished executive leader, Stacy Enxing Seng has more than 25 years in sales, marketing and operational leadership roles building innovative technology portfolios, demonstrated clinical outcomes, exceptional management teams and world-class company cultures. She brings a strong track record of helping develop and advance life-saving technologies from early concept to valuable solutions in the hands of physicians. She has been recognized as one of Minnesota’s Top 100 Women in Business and currently holds numerous independent director positions at Fogarty Innovation, Sonova Holding AG, LivaNova, PLC, and Corza Medical and serves as Board chair for Contego Medical and Cala Health. “This is an exciting time for Imperative Care. The company is undergoing rapid and meaningful growth with its successful stroke treatment portfolio, while nurturing development programs that look beyond stroke intervention and tackle gaps across the entire stroke patient journey. Together with Truvic, Imperative Care is poised to be a strong leader in the vascular space, and I look forward to working alongside the company’s Board members and executive leadership team to further advance this urgent and patient-focused mission,” said Enxing Seng.

Henrietta Fore joins the company’s Board with more than four decades of public service in a variety of sectors. She recently served as the 7th executive director of United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and currently holds the position of Board chairman and chief executive officer of Holsman International, a manufacturing and consulting company. Under President George W. Bush, Fore served as the first female Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Director of U.S. Foreign Assistance, Under Secretary of Management in the Department of State, and Director of the United States Mint. She has held a number of other leadership positions such as an Independent Director for ExxonMobil and General Mills. Fore has also received esteemed honors such as the United States Secretary of State’s Distinguished Service Award in 2009. She has a Bachelor of Arts in History, Economics and Art from Wellesley College and a Master of Science in public administration from the University of Northern Colorado.

“Stroke is a devastating disease impacting more than 15 million people worldwide each year, according to the World Health Organization. Navigating stroke care from detection through recovery is critical to improving patient outcomes. Imperative Care is working to provide a complete solution that increases access to patient care, improves stroke treatment, and helps patients return to their daily activities,” said Fore. “The company is leveraging innovative solutions in stroke care for patients suffering from devastating vascular diseases, and I look forward to helping guide Imperative Care as it progresses in this purposeful mission.”

“We are pleased to have both Stacy and Henrietta join our esteemed board of leaders,” said John Hamre, Ph.D., Chairman of Imperative Care’s Nominating and Governance Committee. “These women are inspirational forces in their respective fields.
