About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Lucet Appoints Andrew Cylkowski as Chief Commercial Officer

Former Chief Growth Officer at VyncaCare and VP at Signify Health will Fuel Lucet’s Growth, Expanding Behavioral Health Access for Members

Lucet, the behavioral health optimization company for health plans, announced today the appointment of Andrew Cylkowski as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

Cylkowski joins Lucet with more than a decade of experience as a consulting and business development leader in the healthcare space at organizations including VyncaCare and Signify Health. As Lucet’s CCO, he will be responsible for all commercial functions, including sales, marketing, and customer success. He will drive company growth by expanding Lucet’s relationships with payers and providers to help them address the country’s biggest challenges with access and quality of behavioral healthcare through its newly-launched Navigate & Connect solution.

“There’s a massive imbalance right now between the record number of people who need behavioral healthcare treatment and support, and the number of people actually able to access the support they need,” said Cylkowski. “Finding new ways to address the gaps in access and quality of behavioral healthcare is critically important, and with more than twenty years of expertise in the space, Lucet has developed innovative ways to do just that. I am excited to join Lucet’s strong and committed leadership team because I know we can make a difference expanding behavioral health access for payers and their members.”

Before joining the Lucet team, Cylkowski was the Chief Growth Officer at VyncaCare, a palliative care solutions and advanced care planning company. There, he led rebranding efforts to create VyncaCare following Vynca’s acquisition of the telemedicine company, ResolutionCare, and helped integrate the two organizations. Before that, he served as vice president of Signify Health’s Episode of Care division, which he joined through its acquisition of Remedy Partners.

“With years of valuable experience driving growth at leaders in different areas of the healthcare space, Andrew is an excellent addition to the Lucet team,” said Shana Hoffman, President & Chief Executive Officer, Lucet. “We have a unique opportunity to bring a new – but proven – behavioral health solution to market and expand our footprint beyond the Blues plans we’ve traditionally worked for and with. Andrew is the right person to develop and lead the commercial strategy that will fuel our growth and expansion.”

Lucet was formed through the integration of New Directions Behavioral Health and Tridiuum, two companies each with 20+ years’ experience in different aspects of behavioral health research, technology and care delivery. Lucet launched in January 2023 and introduced Navigate & Connect, a turn-key solution for payers to optimize behavioral health care and access for their members. Through the Navigate & Connect solution, payers can connect people across the entire acuity spectrum with the right care in less than 5 days on average. Members who receive care through this solution average a 40% improvement in their Behavioral Health Index (BHI) score.

Cylkowski holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, Stephen M. Ross School of Business, and a BA in economics from Grand Valley State University.
