David Bissinger, Rick Oshman Honored Among Leading Real Estate Lawyers

Bissinger, Oshman, Williams & Strasburger partners listed in inaugural legal guide

David Bissinger and Rick Oshman, name partners in Houston-based Bissinger, Oshman, Williams & Strasburger LLP, are recognized in the inaugural Lawdragon 500 Leading Global Real Estate Lawyers legal guide.

Mr. Bissinger was selected for his litigation work involving a wide variety of commercial real estate disputes. Among many other types of matters, he has served as lead counsel in trials for both plaintiffs and defendants, ranging from a plaintiff’s verdict for $1 million arising out of a commercial lease dispute to multiple favorable defense verdicts for sellers of real estate accused fraud in so-called “as-is” transactions. In a matter arising out of the financial crisis, he served as lead counsel in winning a $19 million judgment on behalf of the lender in contested deficiency judgment case over valuation of Las Vegas-area properties. He also served as lead trial counsel in a case that involved the successful challenge of deed restrictions that hobbled the development of a failing suburban shopping mall.

Consistently recognized by The Best Lawyers in America and Texas Super Lawyers, Mr. Bissinger was also selected among the Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators in America for 2024.

Mr. Oshman was recognized for his real estate transactions work. He represents lenders and developers in the acquisition, development, construction, leasing, financing and sale of commercial real estate and improved properties. He has closed thousands of loans to individuals, corporations, LLCs, partnerships, trusts, estates, churches and others for real estate, commercial and personal purposes.
