About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Rogers Behavioral Health and Lyra Health Announce Strategic Collaboration to Build a Full Continuum of Behavioral Health Care Through an Integrated Delivery Network

Relationship to expand access to specialized intensive care, improve clinical outcomes and reduce costs associated with high readmission rates

Leading mental health organizations, Rogers Behavioral Health and Lyra Health, today announced a strategic alliance designed to enhance the full continuum of care for individuals with mental health needs. By combining their complementary capabilities and commitment to evidence-based care, the two organizations strive to deliver consistent, exceptional treatment across all levels of need—from outpatient therapy to inpatient services.

An estimated 20% of the population accounts for 80% of health care costs, often due to complex health issues that require specialized, intensive care. Studies show that one in three patients end up readmitted to a facility within a year, reflecting the need to help patients transition successfully into evidence-based outpatient care to achieve sustained outcomes. Together, the companies seek to deliver a care model that reduces the rate of readmission and lowers the total cost of care.

The relationship leverages the strengths of both organizations: Lyra Health’s expertise in outpatient therapy and Rogers Behavioral Health’s specialization in inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient specialty and subspecialty care. A connected electronic health records (EHR) system ensures seamless sharing of clinical data and care team coordination so that information is consistent throughout care. Connected data systems also enable outcome collection throughout the patient’s behavioral health journey to assure that outcomes are achieved.

“Our partnership with Lyra Health represents a significant step toward bridging the gaps in the delivery of behavioral health treatment,” said Cindy Meyer, president and CEO of Rogers Behavioral Health. “By aligning our clinical models and leveraging our complementary strengths, we can provide patients with a comprehensive care experience that delivers the largest improvement in clinical outcomes and reduces readmission rates.”

“We are thrilled to be working with Rogers Behavioral Health to innovate on expanding access to exceptional care at all levels of acuity,” said Bob Kocher, MD, President of Lyra Clinical Associates. “We are building the care model we would want for a loved one and making it available to all of Rogers and Lyra patients. Together, we are developing a clinical care model that integrates data, aligns clinical processes, and enhances care coordination to deliver the highest standards of care and outcomes.”

Rogers and Lyra will also be expanding access to virtual Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) to meet the growing demand for step-up and step-down care options within the continuum of care. IOPs offer evidence-based treatment for patients with higher acuity needs, and can be effective in decreasing hospitalizations and emergency department visits. Expanding virtual IOP programs ensures broader patient access to this evidence-based level of care in a scalable and convenient format, enabling individuals to receive care within their own communities.

Through this relationship, Rogers Behavioral Health and Lyra Health plan to jointly develop shared clinical models, conduct and participate in clinical research, and develop technology tools that enhance patient outcomes.
