J. Mills-Pierre III Joins UBS as Financial Advisor in New York City

UBS Global Wealth Management US today announced that J. Mills-Pierre III has joined the firm as a Financial Advisor. Mills joins the UBS Manhattan Market, led by Market Executive Kellie Brady, and is based in the firm’s 299 Park Avenue location. He reports to Market Director Neal Cooper and Associate Market Executive Demie Kommatas.

Mills is a Senior Portfolio Manager and founding advisor of Groupe M at UBS, advising high-net-worth clients through a multi-family office model that combines institutional expertise with personalized wealth strategies. He specializes in efficient capital deployment, wealth preservation, and aligning investment plans with clients' personal and legacy goals. Mills collaborates closely with UBS’s specialists and external advisors to deliver tailored, tax-aware planning for families across generations.

With over 20 years of experience in private and public sectors, Mills was previously a Senior Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch and Finance Director for the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office, following early roles at JPMorgan and Ladenburg Thalmann.

He earned his B.A. in Architecture and Economics from Yale University and holds an M.Sc. in Economic Development from the London School of Economics. Outside the office, Mills is a former world-class figure skater and remains committed to mentorship and inclusion in the sport—championing access for the next generation of underrepresented athletes.
