EdgeRunner Names Jack FitzGerald as Chief Science Officer

FitzGerald to lead AI research and strategy at EdgeRunner

EdgeRunner AI, the leader in domain-specific, air-gapped, on-device AI agents for military and enterprise, today announced that Jack FitzGerald has joined the company as its first Chief Science Officer (CSO), leading AI research and strategy.

FitzGerald joins EdgeRunner from Amazon, where he spent the past decade building and scaling industry leading AI research organizations. Initially working in product management as part of Amazon retail and then as a science leader for Amazon Alexa, FitzGerald most recently was a principal scientist helping lead Amazon AGI, including the development of the Amazon Nova foundation models. Prior to Amazon, FitzGerald held roles across the Department of Defense, including as a nuclear physicist at both the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and Air Force Institute of Technology. He holds a B.S. in Physics from the United States Air Force Academy and M.S. in Nuclear Physics from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
