He completed his surgical internship and residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center, as well as a one-year fellowship with internationally renowned facial plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Kamer.

Throughout his storied career, he has studied a variety of advanced facial cosmetic surgery methods, including closed rhinoplasty, in which all incisions are made inside. He is certified by The American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
