The team explains that the 24/7 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is the first line of support in the US for anyone who feels general hopelessness, increased anxiety, sudden changes in mood, sleep, or eating patterns, or increased drug and/or alcohol use. The HIPAA-compliant emotional helpline gives individuals the safe space they need to speak about their concerns and have a loving, patient person listen to them.
