84 churches in 10 Ethiopian cities changed their signboards to “Shincheonji Church of Jesus.” Pastors pledged unity through the Revelation teachings. This milestone follows Pastor Asefa’s seminars, with 181 more pastors now studying Shincheonji’s revealed Word to spread nationwide transformation.

Sydney, Australia, September 14, 2025 -- In ten cities across Ethiopia, 84 churches have changed their signboards to read “Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony” (headed by Chairman Man Hee Lee, hereafter referred to as Shincheonji Church of Jesus).

On 10 September, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus’ Peter Tribe held a “Signboard Change Ceremony” for the 84 churches. During the ceremony, 84 church pastors declared that they had become members of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, pledged to share the teachings of the New Covenant Revelation, and committed to becoming one through the Word of Revelation.

This milestone stems from the efforts of Pastor Asefa Angeto, president of the Misgana Church Association, who attended the “2nd Global Invitation Revelation Seminar” held at Shincheonji Cheongju Church in November last year. Upon returning to Ethiopia, Pastor Asefa continued hosting seminars, sharing the revealed word he had learned with local churches.

Prior to this event, Pastor Asefa had travelled to more than 100 churches across ten cities, preaching the Revelation he learned from Shincheonji.

The signboard change represents more than a simple name change – it is being hailed as a significant step that is spreading a Word-centred transformation throughout the Ethiopian Christian community.

At the ceremony, the representative pastors of the 84 churches proclaimed,

“We have become members of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, who fully understand the Word of the New Covenant Revelation. We are determined to spread the Word of Revelation throughout Ethiopia so that both pastors and congregants may follow only the truth and devote themselves to the ministry of the Word.”

A representative from the Peter Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus said,

“Currently, 181 Ethiopian pastors are also studying the revealed Word of Shincheonji. We will continue to make known that the prophecies of Revelation are being fulfilled today, so that churches around the world may come together as one in the Word.”
