About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Rthae Security Architecture Unveiled: Three Military-Grade Defense Layers Behind Zero Asset Incidents

-- Global leading digital asset trading platform Rthae has revealed its core security architecture, which underpins its record of zero asset incidents since inception. This robust, three-layer defense system, featuring cold-hot wallet isolation, multi-signature protocols, intelligent risk controls, and emergency assurance, has ensured Rthae has never experienced any major asset security events.

The first layer of defense is a “cold-hot wallet separation + multi-signature” system: Over 98% of client assets are stored in offline cold wallets, with less than 2% in hot wallets for daily use. Cold wallet private keys are managed by multiple executives with multi-signature technology, so all large transfers require multi-party approval. This structure prevents single-point failures and internal misuse, greatly enhancing asset security.

The second layer of defense combines an intelligent risk control system with on-chain KYT (Know Your Transaction). The Rthae proprietary system uses machine learning and multi-dimensional rules to monitor fund flows and trading activities 24/7, dynamically detecting anomalies. If suspicious withdrawals are detected, like frequent large transactions, suspected credential stuffing, or sudden behavior changes, the system automatically freezes accounts, delays reviews, recalculates behavior scores, and adjusts withdrawal limits to control risk.

Additionally, Rthae uses multiple blockchain analytics tools and strict KYC/AML procedures to review all on-chain deposits and withdrawals. This enables full-chain tracking and blocking of money laundering, scams, and dark web funds, effectively intercepting risks at the earliest stage.

The third layer of defense is the “security insurance fund and disaster recovery” mechanism. Rthae has established a dedicated security insurance fund, sourced from platform revenue, to compensate users in extreme cases. To date, the fund has not been used, and the platform maintains a record of zero major security incidents.

To enhance transparency, Rthae regularly undergoes independent audits by third-party cybersecurity firms. Recent penetration tests found no critical vulnerabilities, and all key nodes meet international standards. Rthae has also launched a quantum-resistant encryption pilot with global partners to explore next-generation cryptography and address emerging threats.

Rthae CSO David Williams said: “User asset security underpins all our design and operations. We deploy national-level security standards and a comprehensive defense matrix, from cold storage and multi-signature to AI risk controls, on-chain KYT, and insurance. We will keep investing in advanced cybersecurity, including quantum encryption and proactive threat warning systems, to ensure an industry-leading position.”
