About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

ComplianceQuest Named a Leader on Frost & Sullivan's Frost Radar™ for its EQMS Platform

Business consulting firm Frost & Sullivan recently released its Frost Radar™ benchmarking report for Quality Management Systems and named ComplianceQuest as one of the top solution providers in the Electronic Quality Management Solutions (EQMS) space. Published by Frost & Sullivan's Global Industrial Automation & Process Control Research Team, the report evaluates the top 18 EQMS providers from a field of more than 50 industry participants.

Frost & Sullivan recognized ComplianceQuest as one of the top market powerhouses and acknowledged the company's consistent growth and enhanced quality management offerings over the years. According to Sankara Narayanan, Industry Principal, Frost & Sullivan, "ComplianceQuest has set itself apart from other QMS software in the market by allowing its customers to move towards a truly predictive quality management model, which is a much-needed competitive edge today. It's the only vendor on the market currently offering solid hyper-automation and applied AI use cases to allow for smart automation and intelligent recommendations through multiple quality workflows."

In addition, Frost & Sullivan cited the business value ComplianceQuest brings to its customers with a unified platform model not only for quality, but also product design, safety, environment, and sustainability management. "As ComplianceQuest continues to innovate and add to its connected suite of solutions, we expect its impressive growth in the past few years to continue beyond 2022, fueled by multiple key partnerships," added Sankara Narayanan.

"We are honored and delighted to be recognized by Frost & Sullivan for our growth and innovation.  Our focus on bringing customers continuous value by supporting their journey to digitally transforming quality and safety programs with AI-powered technology reflects this recognition. Bringing this level of innovation to the forefront and helping our customers to differentiate themselves in the market has been our formula for success," stated Prashanth Rajendran, CEO of ComplianceQuest.

"Companies are looking for instant access to key performance drivers and real-time analytics to make actionable business decisions. ComplianceQuest enables users to increase their productivity by becoming an Informed User, with a single, at-a-glance view of key information to manage the work with hyper-automation and AI applied, and to drive decision making with critical metrics covering quality, health and safety, and product design processes," added Atulya Risal, CTO of ComplianceQuest.

The Frost Radar finds that ComplianceQuest brings to the market a tremendous amount of business value under a "unified platform model," connecting product design, quality, safety and environment and sustainability management solutions that a specific organization seeks, under one umbrella. The report states this is crucial for effective digital transformation.
