"Night of the Tiger", the gripping new novel by Nick Maggiore, takes readers deep into a world of covert operations, political intrigue, and personal betrayal. Set against the backdrop of the post-Vietnam War era and the rise of the Reagan administration, this historical fiction thriller explores the dark intersections between military sacrifice, espionage, and the early heroin trade from China and North Vietnam.
At the heart of the novel is a chilling sniper attack outside Washington, D.C., which leaves three U.S. military personnel dead. Former Marine officers and NCIS agents Ron Edmonds and Charles Williamson are assigned to the case, only to uncover a far-reaching conspiracy involving the Chinese Mafia, known today as the Triad, and elements within the CIA. Their investigation exposes a treasonous network operating out of Hanoi and Saigon, with plans to distribute experimental drugs into American society.
As Edmonds and Williamson dig deeper, their mission becomes personal, thrusting them into a dangerous game where loyalty, truth, and justice are pushed to the limits.
"Night of the Tiger" is a bold, fast-paced novel that blends history, action, and suspense, inviting readers to question the hidden narratives behind America's political and military past.
