Thoughts on the development of textile industry

A leading Chinese manufacturer specializing in textile auxiliary materials and silicone products has partnered with local agents to provide vital technical support to address key challenges facing the textile printing and dyeing industry, ultimately enhancing its competitiveness on the global stage.

”The textile industry is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy, but faces serious challenges including energy shortages and cotton yarn shortages. Many local textile mills are shifting to higher proportions of polyester fabrics, and Chinese man-made fiber suppliers can provide ideal supplies for these growing textile categories. raw materials,” explained Xing Pingping, overseas sales manager of Ningbo Runhe High-tech Materials Co., Ltd.

Faisalabad is the center of the textile industry, with about 300 dyeing factories. It was in this city of Ningbo that Ronghe and his Pakistani agent FairChem International held a textile seminar. More than 150 local industry professionals attended the event to discuss opportunities for growth and innovation.

In FY 2022, Pakistan’s textile exports reached US$19.32 billion, growing by 25.3% year-on-year, accounting for nearly 61% of the country’s total merchandise exports. However, issues such as cotton shortages and declining profitability in certain fabric categories have impacted the industry’s global competitiveness.

Xing emphasized that digital textile printing has huge growth potential for the industry given the ongoing energy shortage in China. Digital textile printing makes it possible to create high-definition designs with less resource use and environmental impact.
