Unilong Industry: What Is 3-O-Ethyl-L-Ascorbic Acid Good For

3-O-Ethyl-L-ascorbic acid has the dual properties of hydrophilic oil and is chemically extremely stable. 3-O-Ethyl-L-ascorbic acid, cas number 86404-04-8, has an oleophilic and hydrophilic property as a vitamin C derivative, which extends its scope of application, especially in everyday chemistry.

3-O-Ethyl-L-ascorbic-acid

Ordinary vitamin C is difficult to be absorbed by the skin and has low bioavailability. The hydrophilic and lipophilic properties of 3-O-Ethyl L-ascorbic acid make it easier to penetrate the stratum corneum and enter the dermis. After entering the skin, 3-O-Ethyl L-Ascorbic acid is easily decomposed by biological enzymes to play the role of vitamin C, thereby improving its bioavailability.

In addition, 3-O-Ethyl-L-ascorbic acid is relatively common vitamin C, which also shows high stability to ensure the availability of VC, and truly achieve the effect of whitening and freckling.

Properties: 3-O-Ethyl-L-ascorbic acid is white or white crystalline powder in appearance. It is one of the best derivatives of vitamin C to date. It is not only chemically stable, but also an ascorbic acid derivative that is not easily discolored after entering the skin. It is metabolized in the same way as vitamin C in the body, thus exerting a better effect of ascorbic acid.

3-O-Ethyl-L-ascorbic-acid-used

Mechanism of action: 3-O-Ethyl-L-ascorbic acid inhibits tyrosinase activity and the formation of melanin by reaching the basal layer through the stratum corneum of the skin, reducing melanin to colorless, effective in whitening and removing freckles. 3-O-Ethyl-L-ascorbic acid can also directly participate in the synthesis of collagen after entering the dermis, which increases collagen, thereby making the skin full and elastic.

Main functions:

(1) Inhibiting tyrosinase activity and inhibiting melanin formation; Reduce melanin, lighten spots and whiten.

(2) Strong antioxidant effect, effective removal of free radicals.

(3) Good stability, light resistance, heat resistance, acid and alkali resistance, air oxidation resistance. High bioavailability, hydrophilic oil, easy skin absorption.

(4) Prevent skin inflammation caused by sunlight.

(5) Promote collagen production and increase skin elasticity.

3-O-Ethyl-L-ascorbic acid has the activity of repairing collagen (including repairing collagen composition and synthesis), which can promote the formation of skin cells and collagen synthesis according to the ratio of skin cells and collagen consumption, so as to make the skin shiny and elastic. Vitamin C ethyl ether is widely used in whitening freckle and anti-aging skin care products, such as lotion, cream, toner, mask, essence and so on.

3-O-Ethyl-L-ascorbic-acid-application

Product use:

This product is used in whitening products, anti-aging products, water, gel, essence, lotion, skin care cream and so on.

[Recommended dosage] 0.1-2.0%, suitable for whitening and freckle removal products, wrinkle removal and anti-aging products.

[Recommended operation] It is best to use under PH3.0-6.0 conditions, and the whitening and freckle effect is the best.

3-O-ethyl-L-ascorbic acid may be a useful stabilizer for p-hydroxyacetophenone solutions.

Effects of vitamin C ethyl ether on skin:

Inhibiting tyrosinase activity by acting on Cu2+ and blocking melanin formation;

Very effective whitening and freckle removal (2% when added);

Anti inflammation caused by light, has a strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect;

Improve skin dull luster, give skin elasticity;

Repair skin cell activity and promote collagen production.
