NHU Awarded First Prize in Shandong Science and Technology Progress Awards

On June 27, at the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Conference held in Jinan, the project titled “Key Technology Development and Industrialization of Green Synthesis of High-Quality D,L-Methionine”, independently developed by Shandong NHU Amino Acid Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of NHU, was awarded First Prize in the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards. This marks the third time NHU has received a provincial-level first prize in S&T progress awards, reaffirming our strong capabilities and achievements in technological innovation.

D,L-Methionine is an essential additive in animal feed with vast market demand. In response to this, NHU has made significant breakthroughs in several critical “bottleneck” technologies, focusing on green processes, continuous production, automated control, and premium product quality. We have successfully developed a proprietary, high-quality D,L-methionine production package technology with independent intellectual property rights.

A production line for high-quality D,L-methionine has already been established. Core indicators including product quality, material and energy efficiency, and emissions have reached industry-leading levels. This achievement not only ensures the secure supply of high-quality D,L-methionine in China, but also contributes significantly to the healthy development of the downstream trillion-yuan livestock industry, generating notable economic and social benefits.
