ParkerVision Files Against LG for Patent Infringement

JACKSONVILLE, FL / ACCESSWIRE / May 24, 2021 / ParkerVision, Inc. (OTCQB:PRKR) announced today that it has filed a complaint in the Western District of Texas against South Korean multinational electronics company, LG Electronics, Inc. ("LG"), for the infringement of ten of its U.S. patents. The complaint requests a jury trial to determine, among other items, the financial damages for the unauthorized use of ParkerVision's wireless patented technologies in LG televisions and other consumer electronic products. The law firm of Daignault Iyer is representing ParkerVision in this action.

ParkerVision CEO Jeffrey Parker commented, "ParkerVision continues to verify situations where our patented RF technologies are being used without authorization. LG utilizes what we believe are infringing WiFi chips in many products including televisions, thus benefiting from the small size, low cost, and excellent performance that has been enabled by ParkerVision's patented technologies. While we are always amenable to finding a mutually beneficial business arrangement, we are fully prepared, if needed, to see this case through to trial in order to protect our patent rights."

ParkerVision recently announced the successful resolution of its patent infringement litigation through a patent license and settlement agreement with Japanese company, Buffalo, Inc who manufactures and sells computer related products.

ParkerVision has invested hundreds of millions in R&D and marketing in its patented RF receiver, transmitter, and RF power transmitter technologies to enable ultra-small semiconductor chips to deliver high performance RF wireless communications for mobile telephone standards such as 3G, 4G, and 5G standards, WiFi communications, Bluetooth, Satellite communications and other wireless applications.

About ParkerVision

ParkerVision, Inc. has designed, developed, and patented proprietary radio-frequency (RF) technologies which enable advanced wireless solutions for current and next generation wireless communication products.
