Jonathan Alexander-Abt Launches Blog

The noted British orthodontist debuts a new online journal from which he will communicate his thoughts and ideas to the world.

LONDON, UK / ACCESSWIRE / June 20, 2022 / It is with great pleasure that highly-regarded veteran British orthodontist Jonathan Alexander-Abt announces that he has launched a new blog, as well as written its inaugural entry. The web-based journal is hosted by a well-known online platform and primarily deals with matters relating to orthodontics and dentistry, both subjects with which he has considerable professional expertise.

In the premiere blog entry, which is titled Jonathan Alexander-Abt Discusses How to Prepare Your Child For Braces, Jonathan offers counsel to parents on how best to address the delicate subject of talking to their children about needing long-term corrective orthodontic equipment. "The first few weeks after getting braces can be challenging for kids. They may feel self-conscious about their appearance and be in pain or discomfort," he writes, before advising parents on how to help their kids adjust. "First, talk to them about what to expect. Let them know that it's normal to feel uncomfortable at first but that the pain will disappear. Second, help them choose the right foods to eat. Soft, bland foods are best until they get used to the braces. Finally, make sure they are brushing and flossing correctly."

Jonathan Alexander-Abt then proceeds to provide some helpful tips for dealing with some common problems associated with braces, including loose brackets, wires poking the gum, and mouth sores. "If any of these happen, don't panic. You can usually fix them at home with some simple tools," he states, elaborating, "If a bracket comes loose, you can use orthodontic wax to hold it in place. If a wire is poking the gum, you can use a cotton swab to push it back into place. And if your child gets a mouth sore, you can give them over-the-counter pain medication and have them use Bonjela."

Jonathan concludes the blog entry with some common-sense wisdom. "Braces can be a big adjustment for kids, but it doesn't have to be too difficult with some preparation. Help your child brush and floss regularly, choose the right foods to eat, and fix any problems. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call your orthodontist."

Anyone curious to read the full text of the blog entry can find it located here, while anyone interested in learning more about Jonathan Alexander-Abt is encouraged to read an in-depth interview he gave to an online periodical aimed at businesspeople and entrepreneurs.
