Coder Names Josh Epstein President and Chief Business Officer Amid 5X Revenue Growth

Josh Epstein to lead next chapter of growth across product delivery and go-to-market as Coder expands leadership in AI development infrastructure

AUSTIN, TX / ACCESS Newswire / October 7, 2025 / Coder, the AI development infrastructure company helping enterprises build fast, stay secure, and scale with control, today announced the promotion of Josh Epstein to President and Chief Business Officer, effective immediately.

Epstein first joined Coder 20 months ago as Chief Revenue Officer. In that time, he scaled the company's revenue engine, aligned its commercial strategy to enterprise AI trends, and helped position Coder as the infrastructure layer for agentic development. Prior to joining Coder, Epstein was part of the early team at HashiCorp, running several teams and building the company's globals segment through its IPO in 2022. He has also previously served in leadership roles at Vendia, Mesosphere, and VMware.

In his expanded role at Coder, Epstein will lead the next chapter of growth across product delivery and go-to-market, including the Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Revenue functions.

"We're at an inflection point. AI agents are no longer experimental. They're writing and refactoring code, documenting, and collaborating in real enterprise development workflows. But our customers need the right infrastructure and governance to operate safely at scale," said Epstein. "Coder gives enterprises that foundation. My focus in this new role is to align and scale every part of the company, sharpen our execution, and ensure every developer and every agent in the enterprise builds in the right environment - fast, safe, and in control, on Coder Workspaces."

Rob Whiteley, CEO of Coder, added, "Josh has been instrumental to our transformation into an AI-first infrastructure company. He's helped unify revenue and product strategies, accelerate customer traction, and reinforce the operational clarity we need to grow. As President and Chief Business Officer, he'll drive the consistency, urgency, and market execution needed to win this next phase, where human developers and AI agents build side by side."

Coder has become the trusted AI development infrastructure for enterprises navigating the adoption of AI coding agents. Recent releases introduced agent-aware capabilities including secure agent-ready workspaces, scoped permissions, runtime governance, and full audit visibility - all within enterprise-controlled infrastructure.
