“Senior Nation” With Host Phyllis Ayman Premiers on SORC-TV/Radio Network

“Senior Nation,” hosted by best-selling author and senior care advocate Phyllis Ayman, launched March 19, 2025. The show airs live every Wednesday at 7 PM Eastern time on SORC-TVRadio.com and WTSN Washington D.C., a BBC-affiliated platform through its licensing under MFM Digital Broadcasting, UK, with global streaming across 165 countries.

“Senior Nation” highlights important and up-to-date relevant issues for seniors, parents, grandparents, their families, caregivers, loved ones and the population at large. The show explores a range of vital topics that include: Navigating the Aging Journey, Caregiving & Self-Care, Healthful Longevity & Becoming a Well Ager,™ and Purposeful Aging & Intergenerational Relationships. The show also discusses challenges and solutions in long-term care, resident rights, care inequality, assisted living, and more.

For the first episode, Ayman welcomed the esteemed Paul Irving, distinguished scholar in residence at University of Southern California Leonard Davis School of Gerontology. Irving previously served as the Milken Institute president and founding chair of its Center for the Future of Aging, an advanced leadership fellow at Harvard University, and chair and CEO of the Manatt Firm. He coauthored the book, “The Upside of Aging: How Long Life is Changing the World of Health, Work, Innovation, Policy and Purpose.” Irving is also a Wall Street Journal expert panelist and contributor to the Harvard Business Review, PBS, Next Avenue, and Forbes.

Other recent guests include William Smith, PhD., UN NGO Chair of the Committee on Aging Executive Committee; and Susie Singer Carter, who wrote and directed the award-winning documentary, “No Country for Old People,” after her mother spent six months in a nursing home at the end stages of Alzheimer’s Disease.
