This pivotal moment shaped his perspective and motivated him to explore the financial sector while in college.  

Building trust with clients through an educational approach, rather than aggressive sales tactics, can lead to stronger relationships and increased client engagement. One of the strategies Roy employs is to suggest small, manageable steps for clients. Instead of recommending that clients move a large portion of their assets into a new investment, he proposes starting with a small percentage. This approach reduces the perceived risk for clients and makes them more receptive to the idea of reallocating their funds. By framing the conversation around taking small steps, clients are more likely to engage and consider the advice being offered. 

Roy also discusses the importance of transparency in building trust. He acknowledges that clients are often aware that many financial professionals want their money. By being upfront about his intentions and focusing on helping clients with a small portion of their assets, he creates an environment of trust.
