Alliance Sensors Group Releases UL-Approved LZ-19 Series LVIT Linear Position Sensors for Hazardous Environments

Pennsauken, NJ, United States, 24th Sep 2025 –   Alliance Sensors Group, a division of H.G. Schaevitz LLC, is pleased to announce the release of its LZ-19 Series LVIT (Linear Variable Inductance Transducer) position sensors, now UL-approved for Class 1, Division 2, Groups C and D hazardous locations

Designed to meet the demands of oil & gas, process control, and chemical environments, the LZ-19 Series provides contactless, durable, and compact linear position measurement with full-scale ranges from 0.100 to 30 inches (2.5 to 750 mm).

The LVIT Technology™ used in the LZ-19 enables high performance with a compact footprint — the total sensor length is only about 1.5 inches (38 mm) longer than its measurement range, making it ideal for tight spaces or externally mounted applications, such as hydraulic cylinders.

Key to its durability is a through-bore design that helps protect against mechanical overstroke damage, while its contactless operation eliminates internal wear from dithering or rapid cycling.

 Key Features:

  • UL-approved for Class 1 Div 2 Groups C & D hazardous environments
  • LVIT Technology™ provides contactless operation for long life
  • Excellent stroke-to-length ratio for space-constrained designs
  • Through-bore design prevents mechanical damage from overtravel
  • Rugged ¾ inch (19 mm) housing, available in aluminum or stainless steel
  • DC input/output with integrated signal conditioning
  • SenSet™ technology for field-adjustable range scaling
  • Full-scale measurement ranges from 0.100 to 30 inches
