Logan Shine Named Vice President of State Government Affairs in Iowa for Kinetic

Kinetic has named Logan Shine as the vice president of state government affairs for Iowa. Shine recently served as policy advisor and legislative liaison in the Iowa Governor’s office. In that role, he worked with the Iowa legislature to help pass what would become a historic $100 million appropriation to build out Iowa’s broadband infrastructure.

“Logan’s experience in crafting a broadband program to help rural areas in Iowa is invaluable to Kinetic as we continue our multi-year $2 billion fiber investment and buildout across our 18-state footprint,” said Brad Hedrick, president of state operations in Iowa. “He knows how to work across multiple groups to make these projects happen. We could not be more excited about Logan joining Kinetic.”

Additionally, Shine coordinated with Iowa's chief information officer and industry stakeholders to craft a robust broadband grant program which will help deliver high speeds across rural Iowa.

Shine holds a bachelor's degree in secondary education and biology from Grand View University. He later attended Drake University Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate and is licensed to practice in the state of Iowa. He lives in Adel with his wife, Jackie and two-year-old daughter, Amelia. They enjoy exploring outdoors with family and friends and their two dogs, Dexter and Leo.

Kinetic is committed to deploying fiber services to communities across the 18-state footprint. This fast, reliable connection allows residential customers gig speeds to navigate the internet safely from home with no lag times while they work, school or stream entertainment services. Businesses ranging from small to enterprise can take advantage of the fiber-backed network to deploy solutions that make their companies more efficient and profitable such as OfficeSuite UC® and SD-WAN.
