AeroFlexx Achieves BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Certification

AeroFlexx announced today that it achieved an AA grade for the conversion of raw materials into packaging containers intended for liquid food, beverage, and consumer products. BRC Global Standard (BRCGS) is a market-leading global brand that was founded to build confidence in the supply chain. The Global Standard for Packaging Materials was designed to protect the consumer by providing a common basis for the certification of companies supplying packaging to food producers.

“The BRCGS standard is a globally recognized standard which qualifies AeroFlexx for the safety, legality and quality of the AeroFlexx pak,” said Andrew Meyer, CEO of AeroFlexx. “It was important for AeroFlexx to achieve certification as we work with our customers to ensure that AeroFlexx meets the needs of the culinary and food service products market.”

As part of the certification process, the BRCGS conducted an audit of AeroFlexx facilities in West Chester, Ohio, which included AeroFlexx’s operational systems and procedures being assessed against the requirements of the Standard by a third-party certification body.

AeroFlexx, a portfolio company of Innventure, revolutionized liquid packaging by combining the best attributes of flexibles and rigids to create a disruptive new-to-the-world packaging form. AeroFlexx’s BRCGS packaging certification signals the next step in AeroFlexx’s expansion across all five targeted market segments.

“We’re excited about receiving the certification as it ensures that AeroFlexx can work with any liquid packaging brand across the beauty, culinary and food service, pet, personal hygiene, and household categories,” added Meyer. “This is the first of many planned announcements by AeroFlexx. We’re excited to work with our customers to realize the promise of a circular economy and dramatic reduction in plastic waste for liquids packaging.”

About AeroFlexx

AeroFlexx is revolutionizing the liquid packaging industry by offering the only flexible package with an air-chamber that provides rigid qualities to a flexible package. Our proprietary pak, invented by Procter & Gamble, is customer centric, contains 50 to 70% less plastic, allows for greater flexibility in size and shape; provides efficiency in manufacturing; has no label limitations, thanks to seamless edge-to-edge artwork; and meets e-commerce and sustainability requirements.
