Lieff Cabraser Announces Mark Chalos Named President of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association

New Board Members Selected from Across the State

The Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association recently elected Mark Chalos as president for the 2022-23 term. Chalos, a Nashville attorney, replaces Tony Seaton of Johnson City who served as president from 2021-22. Seaton now assumes the role of immediate past president and Carey Acerra of Memphis advances to the office of president-elect.

“Mark will be a true asset to TTLA and the citizens of Tennessee,” stated TTLA immediate Past President Seaton. “As an experienced litigator, he fights on behalf of deserving individuals and will do a tremendous job leading the state’s top trial attorneys as president.”

“Tennessee has some of the most talented and hard-working trial lawyers in the country,” said Chalos. “I look forward to leading this organization and working with other stake holders to keep Tennessee families safe and to hold wrongdoers accountable.”

The Managing Partner of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein’s Nashville office, Mark Chalos is a top litigator leading complex civil cases in Tennessee and across the United States. Chalos takes on companies that make dangerous or defective products that endanger Tennesseans. Chalos also represents consumers, businesses, and municipalities that have been defrauded. Over the past 24 years in practice, Chalos has obtained hundreds of millions of dollars in jury verdicts, arbitration rulings, and settlements for his clients.

To help fight the opioids catastrophe that has devastated communities across America, Chalos represents large and small counties, cities, Native American tribes, and health benefit providers in litigation that seeks to make our communities safer. In connection with his firm’s court-appointed leadership role in the national opioids litigation, Chalos serves on the trial team presenting the historic first trials in the litigation.
