Houlihan Lokey Strengthens Private Funds Group With Senior Hire

Jonathan Jameson Joins as a Managing Director in New York

Houlihan Lokey, Inc. (NYSE: HLI), the global investment bank, announced today that Jonathan Jameson has joined as a Managing Director in the firm’s Private Funds Group. Mr. Jameson is based in New York and will expand and strengthen the Group’s coverage of general and limited partners in North America.

Mr. Jameson brings more than 25 years of private capital markets experience advising general partners, institutional investors, and corporations. Previous experience includes serving as a Managing Director in the Private Funds Group at GCA Advisors, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey, and as a Managing Director at Cogent Partners, a Dallas-based private equity secondary advisory firm. Mr. Jameson also was a Principal at Probitas Partners, a San Francisco-based independent, private-fund capital-raising firm. He began his career in the private placement groups of Rothschild, Inc., and Credit Suisse First Boston, Inc., where he advised clients on debt and equity capital raises.

“Over the course of his career, Jonathan has advised on private fund raises for general partners focused on nearly every type of investment strategy. In addition, his deep expertise in distribution has enabled him to develop strong, long-standing relationships with a wide range of institutional investors,” said Cristina Forcina Westermann, Global Co-Head of Houlihan Lokey’s Private Funds Group. “This blend of transaction expertise and close market relationships is an excellent fit with our corporate culture, and we are delighted that he has joined Houlihan Lokey.”

“Houlihan Lokey has developed a suite of services that is able to address every need or goal that a limited partner or general partner may have, and the Private Funds Group is a central element of that achievement. I’m excited to join the Group and strengthen the firm’s position as a leading provider of private placement advisory expertise to our client base in North America,” said Mr. Jameson.

With more than 160 years of collective experience, Houlihan Lokey’s Private Funds Group brings together extensive fundraising and in-house operating experience, a combination that maximizes the efficiency and effectiveness of the fundraising process for general partners and delivers a unique alternative to legacy placement agency options. To date, the Group has contributed to the organization and raising of 172 funds, aggregating more than $210 billion.
